Lithuania Post is the first national postal service that uses the BlueMail software to offer a hybrid mail solution. By using this solution, customers can write letters on their computer and send it as an electronic file, before they are printed out and enveloped at a location close to their intended destination.
Colin de Vries from BlueMailCentral says: “We take great pride in the fact the Lithuanian post has shown it’s trust in our software. We are looking forward to a mutual beneficial cooperation. And we will be adding new ground breaking features to the software later this year. ”
The only thing the customers need to do is to register and download the software. After that customers can write a letter in almost every text editor and print it to the BlueMail printer, which will recognize the address and destination. This service offers a lot of advantages: by sending a letter via the hybrid mail solution customers will save money, time and will also preserve the environment. Furthermore, even in the age of digital communication, conventional letters are still commanding a high-level attention among recipients so the hybrid mail solution is an attractive service for many senders.
Mr. Danielius added: “With this new service, we are continuing to expand our market share by offering modern communication solutions. The main reasons for Lithuania Post customers to use this hybrid mail solution is that it reduces costs and saves time. We want our customers to send their letters via the software instead of dropping it to the letterbox. This also significantly reduces transportation costs for us.”
