New! Send a Braille letter using BluemailCentral

INTRODUCTION

The BlueMailCentral Braillepost service converts your readable text document into Braille before we "print" and distribute your letter. You don’t need a Braille machine or any other conversion tool. Obviously you cannot send images to the Braillepost service, only text.

The Braille system is widely used by blind people to read and write. Braille was devised in 1821 by Louis Braille, a blind Frenchman. Each Braille character, or cell, is made up of six dot positions, arranged in a rectangle containing two columns of three dots each.

SENDING A BRAILLEPOST LETTER

To send a letter in Braille all you have to do is insert BlueBraillePost as the last sentence of the address. Let's say you want to send us a Braille letter congratulating us on this wonderful new service, the correct address would be as follows :

BlueMail b.v.
Dam 51
4331 GG Middelburg
Netherlands
BraillePost

DISTRIBUTION

We currently have one Braille location in the Netherlands. From this location we service all the countries in the world. Hence the reason for adding the country name to the address.

PRICING

You only pay for the handling and processing, the actual sending of the letter is free. There is no price difference between color and black and white even though the option is available in the BlueMailCentral software.

HANDLING

Please remember that only 810 Braille signs (including spaces) fit on a single sheet of A4 paper. The price is calculated per sheet, even if there is only one letter on the next sheet. The Braille sheets will be sent unfolded in an A4 envelope encapsulated between two cardboard sheets.
